the band...

logic division is an act under development. rather than trying to define our own sound and stick with it, we try to develop and refine it as we ourselves grow and learn from our experiences. this way, we will hopefully have a sound very much of our own anyway, because we will always be able to create original concepts, growing from our original ideas.

in essence we are a synthetic pop band, because of our love for the synthesizer and electronics. but although we have much the same taste in music and equipment, we all have different approaches on the creation of music and the development of our sound. that, i think, is what makes us so unique.
i think this is the beginning of a long and interesting relationship between us three as friends and colleagues, as we take on the adventure of sonic exploration together. and i hope you, as a reciever and listener, will find equally much joy in listening to our music, as we find in creating it.

the story...

1999.

tomas and anders, old friends and fellow musicians, meet mathias, and they decide to start a band together. the nameless band starts working on some material that anders has already written, and anders writes some more. by the year's end, the band has enough material for a demo, and they start working on one.

2000.
the band decides on the name logic division, and the material is re-written, re-edited, re-recorded and rearranged a couple of times. and in april, they buy some new equipment and start recording the demo. however, they are all something of perfectionists, and so it takes a while before they are fairly satisfied with how it sounds like.
when they finally are, they decide that it doesn't really sound they way they want it to, and so they re-edit the material one last time. now, the editing and mixing is finally complete! want a sneak-peek? check out the sound-section!
